The Donna Review

A grape we have not had recently and at this price we thought we would give it a go. We decanted this wine, to give it time to breath.

This is a smooth wine, but does lack depth of flavour. At this price it’s a drinkable wine.

The score reflects the lack of depth and complexity.

Man with no palate Review

There is a slight edge to this wine, a bit spicy, surprisingly smooth for the price point. Holding it’s flavour throughout, but I would decant this at least an hour before as it does need to air.

At this price have absolutely no complaints, this vineyard generally does not disappoint. And this wine is no exception.

The score reflects the price.

Smooth but a bit basic, lacks flavour and complexity.

Maison De La Villette Mourvedre 2020 Bottle label Description

La Villette is an old district of Paris, where the main food and wine market supplying the city used to be located. It was a very animated area where Parisians used to go together in some famous bistro reputed for their fresh food and good wine.

This red wine starts off with fruity flavours (Strawberry, peach, currants…) and features spicy aromas. On the palate, t is long and full bodied with well balanced tannins. The finish gives an impression of velvety, smoothness….Lots of character and power!
