For a French wine I would expect more from this wine. It is a bit disappointing, it lacks depth and leaves a slightly strange aftertaste in the mouth. I wouldn’t purchase again as I struggled to finish a glass of this.

For a red wine at $7.99 this is not a bad drop, infact it is one of those Aldi Red Wine Classics. It has a nice flavour not too acidic and you wouldn’t be offended if a friend brought this around.
