The Donna Review

Warmed it by an open fire rather than decanting it – the aroma is nothing special. But luscious and dark in the glass. Very blackcurrant and very smooth and tasty. I actually think this is smoother when drank without food.

We paired it with steak, but feels like the taste with this brought out more acidness. But overall a very drinkable wine and would happily drink this alongside some nibbles.

Man with no palate Review

This is a very tasty wine that holds it flavour throughout. For an 8 year old wine, I wouldn’t say it is overley smooth but just smooth enough. It goes really well with steak but strangely enough I think that this would just be a great wine to sit in front of a fire sipping away all night. Personally I think this is more of a drinking wine than a wine that accompanies food which is rare.
