The Donna Review
A nice bouquet, which you could just keep smelling.
Very drinkable as there are subtle tannins, but nicely balanced. Could easily drink this with food or on its own.
Surprisingly, quite a summery wine – it is like a great Pinot – no heaviness or spicy notes, just perfect and for the price a great wine that you cannot go wrong with.
Man with no palate Review
My teenage and University years were spent in the 80’s When Beaujolais was ll the rage if not slightly naff. If we could afford it then.
But the Gamay grape is really drinkable, it is like a really good Pinot and this wine does not disappoint. I would be happy drinking this all night on a warm summer’s evening or in front of the fire on a winter’s night.
It is not the best wine we have had this year, but I personally would say it is in the top 5.
