The Donna Review

The label is a bit off putting – it gives the appearance of a very cheap wine!
On opening the smell was very acidic, so wasn’t expecting too much from this wine. But surprisingly, this is a flavorsome wine, with luscious berry flavours running through. This isn’t a drinking wine, you have to have food with this wine and hence I would imagine the name Picnic Red. Without food it is a bit sickly – not sure why this is.
As the label says – enjoy chilled and maybe that is where we went wrong with this wine.

Man with no Palate Review

With a dodgy name like Picnic Red, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect of this limited edition red wine. Having tasted it I am still not sure what to make of it. It is somewhat sweed with the slightest hint of fizz but it rather easy to drink and pleasant on the palate with very little aftertast. But this is definatly not an Aldi classic.
